Amor Urbano (Urban Love)

This cute modern-day love story features some gross actions that may affect your sensibilities. Oh, to find a partner who would accept you for all that you are, from your nose-picking, to the smells of your feet.

Cólera (Cholera)

This short film about a town angrily facing a sick recluse uses such great movement and shots to hint about an intriguing story. Simple enough, yet it gives a neat plot for you to think about.

It also reminds you to be careful about where your shots fall to.

Primera Vez (First Time)

This short film about a woman's first sexual experience is defining, awkward, and, well, short. Amusing and endearing in its simplicity, really.

Amor Y Desengaño (Love And Disappointment)

This short film is reminiscent of 1920s films (it has love! drama! flapper dresses!), but is interesting, because it actually has a kind of public service announcement at the very end.

Indeed, there are other and better ways to take care of certain situations.

*There are English subtitles for this, which you can enable as captions on the video.

Mi Amigo Jaime

This short film about a teenage boy and his friend Jaime is actually rather sweet. Amidst pool laps and beach waves, it depicts just how it feels like when you fall in love with your best friend.

Also, bromance.

Umbral (Threshold)

This short film about a man rowing a boat to a "special place" is simple, yet rather thoughtful. I find it interesting how we progress through the man's life, and yet ultimately find out his destination at the end.

El Pájaro y El Hombre (The Bird and The Man)

This adorable short film about man trying to keep a bird by his side is short and sweet. It's cute, simple, and yet is something to bring a smile to your face during a dreary day.

Zombies And Cigarettes

This short film about a sudden zombie attack at a mall reminds me of the movie/TV heroes who shine during crises exactly like this one. However, this film is not entirely about those kinds of heroes, but the regular people caught in such situations.

Ending was rather... anti-climactic, but in an interesting way.

El Resultado (The Result)

This dramatic short film about a certain medical result can make you end up incredibly frustrated. However, if the long-drawn tension annoyed you, just imagine what the man here's feeling, and may feel all over again. Cancer is just heart-breaking.

Bendito Machine: Everything You Need

This silent short film meshes traditional elements, and machines of wondrous imagery. The animation is well-done, and I just love that end note regarding greed.

Trying to take more than necessary usually does have its (dire) consequences.

¿Te Vas? (Are You Leaving?)

This film about wanting to leave is a beauty, and I love how the frozen moments lend subtle details to the storytelling.

Simple, beautiful, sad.

El Síndrome Del Eterno Viajero (The Eternal Traveler Syndrome)

This short film is about the "eternal traveler syndrome", and here, a woman talks about that anxiety that makes you feel like you will never be happy in just one place. Thus, if you have this, you keep moving and traveling to find your peace of mind.

Quite interesting (and inspiring), especially if you're into traveling.

Runner

This suspenseful short film features a running man, who, for some reason, gets himself into very weird action-packed scenarios. A lot of things may seem not to make sense initially (like brief English dialogues and what not), but it will all be clear at the end.

I don't quite know if it's a spoiler to say that it ends up with a very meta note, but it sure does.

Por Primera Vez (For The First Time)

This nice little documentary is about how the people of Los Munos (in the Baracoa municipality of Cuba) watched a movie for the first time.

It's quite something to see their faces light up over Charlie Chaplin's antics onscreen.
